NOT what we needed in palmdale: one more bad chain-restaurant. we ate there tonight for the first time. I had the roasted chicken w/mashed potatoes. the mp were SO bad I actually sent them back [playing it safe I opted for a baked potato instead].
the pot roast was not much better: no flavor, veggies were pretty much flavorless.
service: we were told by matt the host [...ess] we could be seated on the patio immediately but then he just couldn't get it together and we ended up waiting 15 more minutes.
our waitress: mediocre at best; salad came AFTER our main course, no salad forks, we had to ask for soft drink refills twice, waitress never checked on us until we were half done with our meal (until I called someone else re. my stale & disgusting mp).
plusses: ambience and workmanship of decor/stonework, outdoor patio w/heaters.
maybe this is acceptable for some folks out here, I wonder who wrote the 5 star reviews ... maybe the staff wrote them... or someone with incredibly low standards and bad taste... sorry
